Part A – Our Service Promise (Plain English)

Company: Stoves4U Limited (“Stoves4U”, “we”, “our”, “us”)


What You Can Expect From Us

  • Every refurbished appliance is tested, tagged, and certified to meet AS/NZS safety standards.
  • Our qualified technicians work carefully, safely, and with respect for your home.
  • We’ll always be upfront about costs, timelines, and your options.

Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are in NZD and include GST.
  • You’ll know our charges before we start.
  • Payment is due when the job is finished, unless we’ve agreed otherwise.

Your Rights

  • You’re covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.
  • That means our services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and our appliances must be of acceptable quality.

Our Warranties

  • Refurbished appliances come with a 180 day /6 month warranty on parts and labour.
  • Service work is guaranteed for 180 days/6 months after completion.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Need to change your booking? Just give us 24 hours’ notice.
  • Less notice may mean a call‑out fee.
  • If we need to reschedule, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.

Health & Safety

  • We follow the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
  • Our team uses safe work practices and protective equipment where required.
  • Please make sure we have safe access to your property and appliances.
  • If we believe a situation is unsafe, we may stop work until it’s resolved.

Privacy

  • We respect your privacy under the Privacy Act 2020.
  • Your details are only used for bookings, warranties, and compliance.

Part B – Legal Terms of Service

We are committed to continuous improvement, regularly releasing updates and new features based on user feedback and technological advancements.

  1. Acceptance of Terms
  2. By booking a service, purchasing a refurbished appliance, or otherwise engaging with Stoves4U, you agree to these Terms.
  3. Services Provided
  4. Stoves4U provides appliance servicing, repairs, and sales of refurbished appliances, all tested and certified to meet New Zealand compliance requirements.
  5. Pricing and Payment
  6. All prices are in NZD and include GST unless otherwise stated. Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  7. Consumer Rights
  8. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
  9. Warranties
  10. Refurbished appliances include a 180 day warranty. Service work is guaranteed for 90 days from service. Warranties exclude misuse, neglect, unauthorised repairs, or normal wear and tear.
  11. Cancellations and Rescheduling
  12. Customers may cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice. Less notice may incur a call‑out fee. Stoves4U may reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances.
  13. Health & Safety
  14. Stoves4U complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. Customers must ensure safe and reasonable access to the property and appliances. Stoves4U may refuse or suspend work if conditions are unsafe.
  15. Liability
  16. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stoves4U’s liability is limited to the cost of the service or product supplied. Stoves4U is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
  17. Privacy
  18. Customer information is collected and stored in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. Information is used only for providing services, warranties, and compliance purposes.
  19. Governing Law
  20. These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
